You have been seeing pomegranate popping up everywhere: in juices, in lip gloss, in lotions, etc.  This is because not only does pomegranate tastes and smells delicious, but it is very good for you.   This super fruit is full of vitamins A, C, and E.  It has fiber, calcium, iron, folic acid, and potassium. Because of its high nutritional contents, it is linked to supporting your heart, skin, brain, and bones.

Many of you have no idea what a pomegranate looks like or how to use it.  A beautiful red pomegranate is pictured below.  To open a pomegranate, cut it in half on a cutting board with paper towel on it because the juice stains.  In a bowl of cold water, divide the red seeds from the white fleshy part.  The red seeds will sink to the bottom.   Remove the seeds from the water and eat them like popcorn or added them to your favorite salad or top your favorite dessert.
